FAQs

Why is intensive therapy effective?
Those with neuromuscular problems need more time and more repetitions while working on the functional activities they are trying to master. Four hours a day allows the necessary time to strengthen muscles and create new pathways in the brain to make it possible to reach some of those goals.

Can my child really exercise for that many hours a day?
We’ve been amazed by how even very young children tolerate — and even enjoy their intensive therapy! The Now I Can team customizes a treatment plan to each patient, and activities are varied during the course of the four hours a day. There are times that don’t require a lot of “work”, like preparing the body for therapy at the beginning of each day, stretching, stander time, etc. The therapy team does a great job of helping each individual enjoy their time at Now I Can — and because the child can see and feel their own progress, they are that much more motivated to continue to work!

Will this therapy be covered by my insurance?
Now I Can is already a preferred provider with several insurance companies, and will be happy to apply with others. Our patients have had great success in submitting their invoice to their insurance for reimbursement, whether we are providers with them or not. Now I Can will give you an invoice with CPT codes which are the same as any Physical Therapy clinic would use, so if you have PT visits covered, your insurance should cover your treatment at Now I Can.

Does Now I Can accept Medicaid?
Now I Can is a Medicaid provider. We are happy to contact Medicaid with your ID number and see how much your plan will cover at Now I Can. However, we cannot guarantee using Medicaid because they often only cover at a small fraction (15%) of what we need to cover the costs of paying our therapists. If your Medicaid benefit is too low, we will discuss other ways of reducing your out of pocket commitment.

How do I pay — and where can I get the funds?
To reserve a session, or make a payment, go to our website and pay safely through PayPal with your credit card. Or you can send a check to our center. If you need some fundraising ideas, please feel free to email Tracey —

Does Now I Can offer financial assistance?
Yes, we do! Click on “financial aid” on our homepage, and you’ll find the application for our Ability Fund Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded based on need and availability.
